"James and the Gentry"

Reggie Brubaker and his faithful gentleman's personal gentleman James are returning later this year in "James and the Gentry." Coming from a small press to named once they say it's OK, James and Reggie face off against those most traditional of British troublemakers, the Fair Folk, referred to out in the country simply as "the Gentry."

James and Reggie's first adventure, "James and the Dark Grimoire" appeared in the small press, cross-genre anthology, Cthulhu Unbound. It received an Honorable Mention on Ellen Datlow's "Year's Best Horror" list and was nominated for the Washington Science Fiction Association's Small Press Award. (You can listen to the Chronic Rift audio drama version here.) It was my take on Lovecraftian horror through a P.G. Wodehouse filter. "Gentry" is fantasy via Wodehouse.

In the planning stages: my science fiction yarn featuring the intrepid duo: "James and the Crisis of Infinite Reggies."
