Star Trek Magazine, issue 36

Received my contributor's copy, which means that it should be available at your local bookstore (if you still have one). This is the first of a two-issue event where every episode and every movie gets analyzed. Each season gets a Top 5, Best Moment, Most Valuable Player, etc. I covered season 6 of The Next Generation. This issues covers all of TOS, TNG, the movies, TAS, and season 1 of DS9. Issue 37 will cover the rest of DS9, VOY, and ENT.

I really enjoyed writing this because it brought to mind those episode guides we used to pour over in Starlog magazine in the days before video tapes and DVDs.

Watching all of season 6 was a lot of fun, but it caused a True Geek Experience. I was watching an ep when I realized that its opening teaser was really short: 40 seconds. I also thought that another ep in the season possibly had TNG's longest teaser. So . . . the only way to know was to watch the openings to every TNG ep and make a spreadsheet of all the teaser times in order to confirm my theory. You'll have to read the magazine to see the results.
