McSweeney's Internet Tendency continues to be a daily event for me. Their reader-contributed humor is intelligent fun: Short, Imagined Monologues like "Beowulf, Sitting Next to a 16-Year-Old Kid, Watches Frasier on a Transcontinental Flight" and Open Letters to People or Entities Who Are Unlikely to Respond's "An Open Letter to the Gentleman at the Bar Who Asked If I Would Like a Piece of Him".
Over the years I've written a music essay for them and contributed a few Reviews of New Foods. But my humor submissions were always rejected.
Until now.
I proudly give you that staple of McSweeney's: The List. My category:
Hemingway Novel Character or Match Game PM Star?"
